About the Ambulance Booking Office
The Ambulance Booking office handles all non-emergency patient transport (NEPT) bookings, including dispatching bookings for the Austin Health based stretcher vehicle (weekdays only). We liaise with the wards and clinical units to facilitate the booking of non-emergency ambulances for patient transfer and maintain a database of all bookings.
About the role
This role is responsible for ensuring that non-emergency Ambulance Bookings are processed accurately and in a timely manner on both Saturdays and Sundays.
A regular day will see you:
- Enter non-emergency transport bookings into the booking system (data entry)
- Liaise with Ambulance Victoria and National Patient Transport regarding bookings and ETA's
- Recording delays and the reason for the delay
- Liasing with wards and clinical areas to faciltate bookings
