As the new entity, Cultura operates across various sites delivering a range of services including residential aged care, home care and aged support services, settlement, training and education, financial counselling and disability support. The Role:
The Weekend Residential Services Administrator will act as the ‘face’ of the residential aged care facility attending to reception duties including, but not limited to administration, resident care, on-call assistance, and will act as a float to other departments (Customer Service, Personal Care, Food Services and House Keeping) in need of assistance.
This position will be contracted on a casual basis.
About You:
- Management of Cultura residential front of house. This includes management of sign in processes when required;
- Manage telephone switchboard by answering the phone in a polite and welcoming voice. Switchboard management ensures that incoming telephone calls are answered promptly as well as re-directing, transferring calls and taking messages;
- Collate, distribute and record incoming and outgoing mail if needed;
- Perform cash handling when required;
- Assist with management of data, resident -photographs/ Medicare/ pension card details, reports and information required from the Cultura resident care system;
- Provide general administrative support for midweek staff that require assistance;
- Maintain register for admissions and discharges- via register book;
- Act as the identified on-call contact for Cultura staff to use as a weekend support mechanism for staff working on-site, and those working externally, with participants in other programs;
- Follow up from call received with the relevant department so as to ensure corrective action is taken as requested;
- Making notes in the correct system as required by the resident or service participant’s client management system;
- Provide assistance, when required, to residential departments as a way to assist with increasing care minutes through such task as delivering meals, interacting with residents, providing emotional care, assist with care planning (if RNs);
- Basic resident care duties;
- Emergency support assistance for infection control;
- Certificate III Individual Support or Aged Care (or Equivalent) OR BA Nursing (RN).

A minimum of 3 doses of the Covid vaccination are a mandatory requirement for this position.
