Job description

About the business and the role

WE REMAN THINGS THAT MATTER

Remanufacturing is in our 43-year heritage. Our team of specialists are passionate about transforming used components into products that surpass original performance. We recognise that in a world of finite resources, remanufacturing provides increasing value to the communities of Earth, and beyond. Our purpose? To remanufacture things that make a difference.

A FUTURE WHERE UNPLANNED DOWNTIME DOESN’T EXIST, AND THERE IS NO END OF LIFE FOR COMPONENTS

Our vision is a future free from the constraints of unplanned downtime and component end-of-life. We are committed to pioneering solutions that redefine the lifecycle of components, ensuring continuous, efficient operation in every industry we touch.

WE KEEP THE THINGS THAT MATTER MOVING, AT THE LOWEST COST PER SERVICE HOUR

Our mission is clear: to ensure the seamless operation of essential components, optimising their performance while minimising service costs. We don't just keep things moving—we ensure they move smarter, better, and more cost-effectively.

Due to sustained growth, we require a motivated & experienced Welding Manager to join our expanding facilities in Mackay, QLD.

RELOCATION ASSISTANCE PROVIDED!

  • DIFOT Performance: Develop processes to ensure all orders are delivered in full and on time.
  • Cost Control: Work with the Operations Manager and Sales Team to ensure accurate quoting and manage operations to meet labour and materials targets.
  • Operational Excellence: Implement 5S and Lean Manufacturing standards, research state-of-the-art systems and technologies, and provide strong leadership to mentor teams.
  • Production Control: Develop and implement FIFO production control processes and manage standard work instructions.
  • Welding Quality Management: Work with the Engineering Manager to develop, implement and maintain a welding quality management system in line with ISO 3834 and ISO 9001 standards, including managing welding procedures, welder qualifications, and inspection/testing processes.

The Successful Applicant Must:

  • Possess excellent safety, environmental, and quality management skills.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Be experienced in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement strategies.
  • Have a high level of computer literacy, especially with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Be able to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision.
