About You
Olive Grove House is looking for a creative and enthusiastic person to be part of its very successful Day Centre program on a casual basis with the view to permanent shifts becoming available

As part of the Olivet Care Team the Wellbeing Carer is responsible for the planning and delivery of social and recreational programs to support older residents living in the community to maintain and enhance their social connectedness and independence.
Duties of the role
- Design and manage the program activities required to meet the accreditation standards and guidelines outlined in the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP)
- Ensure programs and activities are culturally relevant to people from the CALD community.
- Assist with client transport, arranging client meals, undertaking ordering, and purchasing of supplies for the client activities.
- Drive 12-seater vehicle to pick up/ drop off clients attending programs and during outings, facilitate special activities, outings and events from time to time, encourage appropriate participation of all clients.
- Assist clients with personal care needs.
- Applying 'person Centered Care' approach to: implementing and contributing to individualised Care Plans with Residents in relation to leisure related needs and abilities: effectively involving with their families and evaluating
- Reporting all maintenance issues to maintenance staff.
- Support clients in their daily activities and attendance.
- Maintains a client-centred approach to service delivery.
- Assist and maintain a clean, safe environment for guests and staff.
- Taking a reasonable care for your health and safety and others.
Qualifications and experience
- Certificate IV in Leisure and Health.
- Certificate III in Aged Care is essential.
- Excellent Communication skills and ability to share empathy and understanding to our residents and their families.
- Experience in working with elderly and/or people with a disability.
- Can do attitude, good verbal, and communication skills.
- Basic Computer Skills and ability to use Olivet Care software products as required.
- Time management skills and problem-solving ability
- Alignment with the organisation’s values.
- Knowledge and experience in a memory support program is highly regarded.
- Current Driver License
- NDIS Screening Check
- Current First Aid certificate (with CPR) or willing to obtain.
- Three doses of Covid 19 Vaccination
- Have full Australian working rights desirable.
