An exciting opportunity currently exists for an experienced WHS Advisor to join our WHS team.
As a WHS Advisor, you will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and maintaining effective health and safety programs. Collaborating closely with employees and management at all levels, your role extends to promoting a proactive safety culture, implementing WHS management systems and overseeing onsite injury management and return to work programs for staff.
Your new role will include:
- Mastery of our WHS Management System (WHSMS) to oversee health and safety onsite, including educating staff on compliance
- Conducting thorough workplace inspections to identify potential hazards and address safety concerns
- Taking the lead in investigations for workplace incidents, and near misses, providing insightful recommendations for preventive measures
- Maintaining a comprehensive and accurate incident register and providing regular reports with detailed analysis for review to senior management
- Undertaking all necessary actions required for the management of an injured worker
- Managing WHS committee meetings and facilitating safety consultation onsite.
- Maintaining and updating safety records, incident reports, injury management, return to work, risk register, hazard register and safety training documentation

About you
You bring a profound understanding of WHS regulations, excellent communication skills, a commitment to continuous improvement and a passion for WHS.
This position forms an integral part of the operational team for BE Campbell and it requires an individual who can drive safety within the team and as such, this role will suit an organised self-starter who is confident and capable in all things in safety.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Certification in WHS (e.g., Cert IV in Work Health and Safety)
- Demonstrated ability to influence change in behaviour and decision making
- In-depth knowledge of WHS legislation, regulations, and industry best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with acute attention to detail
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences
- Time management skills
- Proficient in all Microsoft Applications
