WHS Advisor - Construction Manufacturing
We are seeking an experienced and qualified WHS Advisor to join a leading construction manufacturing business in the Brisbane region . The ideal candidate will have a passion for workplace health and safety, with the ability to effectively manage and improve our organization's WHS standards.Experience in Injury Management and Return to Work is favourable
Experience in the construction industry with a focus on the manufacturing sector is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement WHS policies and procedures in accordance with local regulations and industry standards.
- Previous experience with drafting and issuing of SWMS and SWP's
- Managing injuries and return to work cases
- Conduct regular inspections of the workplace to identify and assess potential hazards and risks.
- Implement and maintain systems for reporting and investigating incidents, injuries, and accidents.
- Provide advice and guidance to employees and management on WHS matters, including hazard identification and control, risk management, and emergency response procedures.
- Develop and deliver training programs to improve employee awareness and understanding of WHS policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and regulations, and maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
- A relevant qualification in WHS, such as a Certificate IV in WHS.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role, with a thorough understanding of WHS legislation and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience in the construction industry, with a focus on manufacturing is preferred.
