Are you passionate about ensuring workplace safety and regulatory compliance? Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and collaborative environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Quality, Governance, and Risk team as a WHS and Compliance Officer.
Reporting directly to the Quality and Compliance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in implementing and maintaining our compliance, risk, quality, and workplace safety frameworks. Here's a glimpse of what you'll be doing:
- Collaborate with service managers to develop and execute effective health and safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance and fostering a culture of safety.
- Drive incident investigation processes to identify root causes and implement preventive/corrective actions within established timeframes.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for Health and Safety Representatives, promoting open communication and proactive safety measures.
- Partner with Facilities and Assets to uphold contractor compliance and provide relevant WHS information for maintenance work orders.
- Coordinate various Quality and Compliance tasks, including feedback management, privacy requests, and internal audits, with a keen eye for detail and efficiency.
- Manage data entry and reporting for a range of metrics, including exit forms, safety incidents, hazards, and internal audits.
- Facilitate policy administration, ensuring timely review, updating control data, and communicating new policies effectively.
What we're looking for in you:
- Cert IV or above qualification in Work Health and Safety, demonstrating your commitment to excellence in workplace safety.
- Experience with internal and external audit preparation, coupled with a drive for continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in understanding and implementing relevant legislation and regulations.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate, influence, and drive change.
- Strong time management abilities and meticulous attention to detail to deliver outcomes to the highest standards.
- Current NDIS Screener Check and Police Clearance, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
