They are seeking a dedicated WH&S Manager, to oversee the safety operations across KT3 Kitchens (SA and QLD), KT3 Benchtops, KT3 Doors, and Griffin Surfaces. This position is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving safety initiatives, while maintaining and strengthening current policies and procedures. Furthermore, this role will be key in driving a secure and compliant work environment that aligns with WHS Laws and ISO 45001 standards, creating consistency across the multiple sites and locations.
Role and Responsibilities
Safety Management
- Establish and maintain the Safety Development Program and systems.
- Develop, implement, and update safety policies, procedures, and programs in line with industry best practices, ISO 45001 standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Continuously review and enhance safety protocols to address emerging risks and hazard assessments.
- Strengthen and maintain current safety policies and procedures.
Compliance and Reporting
- Ensure strict legal compliance with WHS Laws, local, state, and federal safety regulations, and ISO 45001 standards.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive safety reports, including incident reports and regulatory filings, in a timely manner.
Incident Management
- Conduct thorough investigations into workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses, identifying root causes.
- Implement effective corrective actions to prevent incident reoccurrence.
- Maintain accurate incident records and analyse data to identify trends for improvement.
- Provide guidance and support in managing Return-to-Work (RTW) SA and WorkCover QLD claims.
Safety Audits and Inspections
- Execute regular and systematic workplace inspections and safety audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with established safety standards.
- Develop comprehensive corrective action plans based on audit findings and closely monitor the implementation of these plans to achieve safety improvements.
Management
- Effectively manage day-to-day operations, offering guidance, mentorship, and professional growth opportunities to team members in the wider Safety team.
- Any other duties as required.
