Experienced snow groomers, night shift work, physically fit, casual, flexible, outdoors at Mt Hotham Alpine Resort.
Fingers crossed for an abundant snowfall this winter!Our Groomers primarily work under the starry skies assessing and managing the over snow trails between the village, cross-country trails and snow play areas so our staff and guests can safely move around the resort.
With safety as a priority, our Groomers are required to keep daily logs of safety checks of plant and equipment, addressing minor technical issues before they escalate, in addition to overseeing the safety of trails!
As a member of the Resort Operations team, you may be called upon to use your skills in areas other, for example assisting to top up the snow play area with man-made snow.
Mt Hotham is located in north-east Victoria, about 4.5 hours from Melbourne and is considered the “Powder Capital’ of Australia. What amazing skills and experience will score you this role?
- Victorian Working with Children Check (Employee)
- Australian driver licence.
- Medium/Heavy Rigid Licence (desirable)
- Backhoe, loader and other plant specific licences/tickets (desirable)
- Current First Aid Certificate and CPR qualifications (desirable)
- Work Safely in the Construction Industry CPCCOHS1001A (White Card) (desirable)
- Physically capable of taking on demanding tasks in potentially harsh conditions.
- Experience driving in hazardous weather and road conditions
- Ability to ‘iron out’ any unexpected issues that might arise
- A LOVE of the outdoors, including the rain, hail, shine and of course…Snow!
- Available from May/June to the start of October 2024 (including nights, weekends and school holidays)
