About the Role…
The primary purpose of this position is for the Women In Trades Specialist Support Officer to offer end-to-end wrap around support and guidance to female Australian Apprentices in male-dominated trades in line with BUSY At Work’s, BUSY Sisters specialist Australian Apprenticeship Support Services (AASS) contract. This role will assist women, employers and other relevant stakeholders to improve the commencement, retention and completion rates of female Australian Apprentices.
This role is full time, fixed term for 2 years with possibility of extension, based anywhere in QLD with the ability to travel when required throughout the state.

A bit about you...
- Ideally 1 years experience in a similar role within the industry
- High level of computer literacy
- Qualifications or currently studying either social work, counselling or psychology
- Formal studies in the area of coaching or mentoring
- In the absence of existing suitable qualifications; prepared to undertake a Diploma of Counselling or similar within the first year of employment
- Trade qualification or proven history of working within a male-dominated industry
- Strong ability to actively manage relationships with stakeholders to achieve sustained success
- Demonstrated high-level business development skills and results oriented with a proven track record of successful client acquisition, preferably in the Australian Apprenticeships, broader VET and/or employment industries
- Ability to obtain a Working With Children Check and National Police Check
