Comax Australia manufacturers high end designer furniture (chairs, sofas, tables etc) commissioned by interior designers for commercial and residential projects. We have an upholstery, timber and metal workshops.

About the role
- Custom making timber frames for upholstered furniture such as chairs, sofas, ottomans, banquettes from solid timber, mdf and plywood.
- Custom making coffee and dining tables from solid timber.
- Machining, assembling and occasionally sanding your own work.
- Read and interpret workshop drawings.
- Working with upholsterers to create furniture frames.
- Opportunity to program/operate Homag 5 axis Pod & Rail CNC.
- Opportunity to do timber polishing including creating custom stain colours and 2pac painting metal furniture.
- Opportunity to make cabinets from engineered board and solid timber.
- We don’t mass produce. Everything is custom and bespoke.
To be successful for the role

- EXPERIENCED WOOD MACHINIST / JOINER
- APPRENTICESHIP: Do you have little to nil experience/skills in woodwork and are you interested in being trained to be a highly skilled in woodworking?
