RFC Ambrian Funds Management (RFM) is looking to hire a Fund Associate or Manager to manage operations of our emerging funds management business. We are looking for someone to join at the ground floor and play an active role in growing our business to become a globally significant investor in the critical minerals and decarbonisation technology industries. We believe prudent investments in high potential businesses that deliver impact will earn superior risk-adjusted returns and make a meaningful contribution to decarbonising our global economy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Operations: Manage fund operation and administration.
- Compliance: Maintain fund compliance with policies, laws and regulations.
- Communication: Effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders and collaborate with the fund and broader RFC Ambrian team.
- Taxation: Assist with developing tax-optimal strategies, preparing tax returns and maintaining tax compliance.
- Accounts and Financial Reports: Assist developing financial statements and reports. Maintain and improve accurate and compliant accounting records.
- Valuation: Assist with compiling valuations
- Business Growth: Working with the CIO to develop new products and help execute on fund growth strategies.
- Advisory: Opportunities to assist with RFC Ambrian's Corporate Finance and Venture Building operational and financial activities.
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
The ideal experience and critical competencies for the role include the following:
- Qualification: 3-5 years post-qualification experience and suitable qualification in accounting, audit, or funds management. Fund operations experience is viewed highly favourably. CFA or Kaplan accreditations are also desired.
- Education: Business, Commerce, Finance or Accounting degree.
- Skills: Accounting and valuation knowledge along with statutory and tax reporting experience. Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills. Financial modelling skills viewed favourably.
- Attributes: Proactive, strong project management and analytical skills, articulate, detail oriented and excellent communication abilities.
