Work Health and Safety Officer

Responsibilities

• Providing technical expertise & guidance on the legislative compliance, Workplace Health & Safety, risk & mitigation.
• Developing, Preparing & implementing SWMS & other related safety documentation.
• Working closely with Customers' safety teams to ensure all safety regulations and requirements are complied in the daily work activities.
• Perform Workplace Inspections and related tools and equipment to ensure compliance with regulations
• Conduct Routine routine Toolbox Meeting and Internal Safety Training.
• Communicate WHS related information through internal bulletin or other company's media platform.
• Keeping Track of workplace incidents, near misses & injuries including investigations& initiating corrective & preventative actions.
• Implementing, maintaining & monitoring compliance with the Integrated Management Systems.
• Managing and Coordinating Customers or specific Site Inductions for all the employees and subcontractors.
• Maintaining Job Required Training Requirement for the employees and subcontractors.
• Support developing accredited HSEQ management systems to meet the requirements of ISO45001, ISO9001, and ISO14001

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience as WHS Coordinator/Officer, preferably in Telecommunication Industry
• Diploma / Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety
• Strong personal skills & ability to develop relationships to actively reinforce & promote a positive safety culture.
• Strong written & verbal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
• Experience of the ISO9001 QMS. 
• Working knowledge of the OHS&W regulations ISO 45001 and Environmental ISO14001.
