Safety Compliance Resources (SCR) is a leading WHS consultancy, providing specialist WHS support to the mining and quarrying sectors, throughout NSW and Nationally. With the launch of our Online Safety Systems, SCR is looking for a WHS Officer to join the team, assisting in the development, implementation, and support of our clients Safety Management Systems.
The role will suit someone with a passion for Safety and Compliance, having recently completed your qualifications in WHS, this position will set your career above the rest. Working in the compliance development area, you will be part of the team that monitors legislation and develops the backbone of health and safety within the Mining and Quarrying sectors through:
- Monitoring changes in legislation, Standards and Industry practices,
- Developing tools and systems that support the industry and embrace an enhanced Safety Culture across each site,
- Updating and maintaining compliance of WHS Policy and procedures, for our key clients,
- Participation in documented risk assessments,
- Auditing clients sites/workplaces,
- Developing, managing, and implementing strategies for improving safety performance to meet client objectives (WHS policies, plans, programs, and mapping systems),
This role is a permanent, full-time position, reporting to the Systems Operations Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the team through continuous improvement of WHS systems and procedures for SCR and our clients.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience in a safety role,
- Good report writing skills,
- Software (Word, Excel, SharePoint, automated forms & audit template development),
- Development of policy documents,
- Auditing experience,
- Ability to research and analyse legislation changes.
While preferred, the successful candidate will receive comprehensive training in the role.
Qualifications
Formal qualifications in Work Health and Safety is required,
Formal qualifications in Training & Assessment will be highly regarded,
Additional inhouse and formal training will be offered as part of this role to the successful candidate.
Location
The position is based in Redhead NSW.
