Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to our Work Health and Safety Strategy and Plan and coordinate implementation of tasks
- Act as the Return to Work Coordinator for all Work Cover injuries
- Develop, implement and maintain WHS policies, procedures and guide lines for staff
- Monitor WHS in the workplace including the reporting of identified hazards, risks or incidents and ensure risk assessments are undertaken and control measures are adequate
- Some travel involved to our other locations.
- Maintain up to date knowledge on relevant WHS legislation to ensure our policies, processes and practices are in line with requirements
- Guide and coach site based HSR reps on best practice and injury prevention.
Our ideal candidate will have
- Certificate IV level qualification or equivalent experience in Work Health & Safety
- Undertaken Return to Work Coordinator training
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience in monitoring and administering WHS in the workplace
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to deal diplomatically and effectively with people at all level
