If you would like to be considered for a specific contract length, please indicate this in your Suitability Statement.About the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Students)The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Students) provides administrative support to key strategic and operational functions of the University’s student-related and academic services. Under the general portfolio, the Office team support Portfolio leadership and facilitate dialogue between key service areas to help the Portfolio ensure Flinders educational offerings are innovative, of assured quality, and are student centred. This drives our values and ethos, our impact and engagement, and our vision to be internationally recognised as a world leader in research, an innovator in contemporary education, and the source of Australia’s most enterprising graduates.About the RoleThe Work Integrated Learning Team is responsible for providing operational leadership of support services delivered within the College WIL programs. The incumbent will work in conjunction with the Manager, Graduate Career Readiness, and other WIL Team Leaders to ensure processes are delivered and students are provided with effectual operational support in line with the Universities and professional accrediting bodies requirements.The successful candidate will be accountable for:Ensuring operational effectiveness and enabling the development of a healthy, positive and collaborative culture across the WIL Support and broader Graduate Career Readiness teams.Supervising WIL Support Officers within the College-aligned teams, including mentoring and managing their performance, work allocation and ongoing development.Developing, evaluating and maintaining relationships with government and non-government agencies and industry partners to increase WIL opportunities, including responding proactively to challenges as they arise.About YouAs the successful Work Integrated Learning Team Leader, you will have excellent knowledge and experience within WIL. You will have a growth mindset, dedicated focus on enhancement of WIL processes and procedures, alongside exceptional leadership qualities. Your well-developed communication and interpersonal skills will assist you in leading a team of up to nine WIL Support Officers, whilst, simultaneously developing and growing excellent relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.
