A CBD based insurance provider has an opening for an experienced Workers Compensation Case Manager to join their team. You will join a supportive and stable organisation which provides flexibility, support, training and long term career progression.
As a Case Manager you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of Workers Compensation claims while partnering and collaborating with claimants, allied health professionals and other external parties throughout the injured workers safe return to work journey.
Your duties and responsibilities will include –
- Pro-actively manage a portfolio of physical and psychological injuries, by providing a service-orientated approach focusing on early intervention.
- Keeping the interests of workers and employers at the front of your mind while ensuring all parties have a positive claim experience.
- Maintaining reasonable claim costs.
- Proactively communicate key claim developments and collaboratively agree on claims strategies.
- Ensure that active and timely intervention occurs to improve recovery and return to work outcomes.
- Assist the worker and employer with the claim process and providing support where necessary.
- Ensure the worker and employer are aware of and know how to access required services to support return to work and injury recovery.
- Experience managing a portfolio of Workers Compensation claims
- Allied health or legal qualifications and experience (Physiotherapy, OT, exercise physiology or similar) would be advantageous but not essential.
- Sound understanding of NSW Workers Compensation legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Genuine desire to help people through the injury and recovery process.
- Effective communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Customer orientated approach with a willingness to learn and a resilience.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and management.
