As part of their ongoing commitment to serving Local Government in NSW, StateCover Mutual are planning to extend their regional presence by establishing a new claims team in Wagga Wagga.
As an Assistant Case Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Case Managers by providing general administration and customer service support across all claim files. You may also need to provide direct assistance to Members and other stakeholders in a professional, empathetic, and efficient manner.
Your duties and responsibilities will include –
- Ensure claim files are accurately and efficiently kept up to date.
- Support Case Managers with Member and general administrative duties, such as arranging medical examinations and other investigations.
- Review and reconcile Member payments and wage reimbursements.
- Follow up outstanding reports and accounts from service providers and facilitate timely closure of claims.
- Escalate urgent or complex matters to the appropriate person to provide timely customer service.
- Assist in the preparation of claim reviews and case conferences.
Essential Requirements –
- Experience in a similar role.
- First class customer service skills, along with outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organised and able to prioritise work effectively.
- Experience with Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel for preparing letters, updating spreadsheets.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to understand and apply legislation.
