We are actively seeking a Workplace Health and Safety Advisor to provide proactive support in all matters related to Workplace Health and Safety. This individual will play a vital role in ensuring that the services adhere to legislative requirements and meet the high standards expected by the Council.
$44.85 hourly rate + Super
Monday to Friday (7:00am - 3:00pm)
Mackay Location - Work Close to Home!

A Day in the Life:
Advise and support on WH&S, fire safety, and emergency planning.
Conduct workplace inspections to identify hazards.
Participate in educational programs on WH&S procedures and assist in developing and delivering WH&S training.
Analyze data for WH&S reports.
Investigate workplace incidents.
Maintain relationships with external resources.
Support injury management procedures.
Contribute to policy development and compliance.
The Ideal Candidate:
Essential:
Qualification in Work Health & Safety
Formal training in incident investigation (e.g. ICAM or TapRoot)
White Card
Driver's Licence - "C" class
Desirable:
Certificate IV in Training & Assessment.
Building Fire Safety Advisor qualification.
Certification in Incident Investigation (i.e. ICAM).
Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator qualification.
