We are seeking an experienced Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S) Consultant who will be based at our Central Office in Burswood. The right Candidate will be responsible for the WH&S for Aegis Group consisting of 30 Facilities, employing in excess of 4500 staff. In addition the Consultant will be responsible for the WH&S functions across Aegis Health. Aegis Health has evolved from the Aegis Groups’ extensive experience in care provision, applied to the development of a unique and innovative Health Care Services. Located in the brand new Murdoch Square, these integrated Health Services consists of a Medihotel, Mental Health Inpatient Services, Day Surgical Services, General Practice and Urgent Care Centre. - Provide a commercial and strategic focus in leading the Aegis groups WH&S functions.
- Develop, implement and provide ongoing management of comprehensive integrated WH&S systems.
- Provide specialist advice to both management and staff.
- Implement monitor and review group wide WH&S requirements, ensuring legislative and regulatory compliance are fully met.
- Proactively identifies, investigates and reports on group wide safety issues and potential risks and manages the system of risk control.
- Audits the groups compliance against WH&S standards and requirements and provides support with any corrective actions.
- Provides support and oversight into Injury Management coordinator, providing support in complex injury Management and fitness work cases to determine and establish effect strategies.
- Review and maintain Aegis Emergency Response plan and testing emergency response procedures.

- At least 5 years proven experience working across all aspects of the WH&S functions.
- Strong contemporary knowledge of best practice in WH&S, injury management and Workers Compensation.
- Proven skills in policy and procedure development and implementation.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to bring people with you, to effect change.
- Excellent knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven ability to conduct investigations, determine ‘root cause’ and develop commercial and practical solutions.
- Possession of a relevant tertiary qualification.
