We seek a Workplace Health & Safety Coordinator to support our Specialty Products & Engineering Services teams, located at Eagle Farm.
The Role:You will be working with general managers, managers, supervisors, leading hands, manufacturing workers and tradespeople to ensure our systems and practices achieve high levels of safety and prevent injuries and illnesses in the workplace. To be successful you will need to develop cooperative and collaborative working relationships with our managers and staff, whilst being hands on in embedding a strong health and safety culture across our workforce and will:
- Monitor, coordinate and record for accurate and timely incident investigations, safety inductions, SOP training /assessment, licenses and tickets, hazard/risk assessments, toolbox talks, safety inspections and annuals safety audits
- Coordinate safety committees and sharing updates and progress on safety initiatives
- Monitor, coordinate and record hazardous materials & chemicals, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Fire Safety, Emergency & Traffic Management practices including conducting emergency drills
- Communicate, consult and promote safety information and messages
- Comprehensive safety recording, reporting and review
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain effective relationships at all levels of the business for the long term.
- Previous experience with WHS role within manufacturing, fabrication or industrial workplace
- Education/training in Workplace Health & Safety
- Working knowledge and/or ability to apply Workplace Health and Safety Legislation and applicable standards, guidelines and risk management principles
- Organised, achievement driven and detail-focused
- Strong administration and computer skills
- Confident and with the ability to take initiative and make this role your own
