The Division
The Corporate Service Division contributes to aviation safety by enhancing CASA's capability, capacity and service delivery. We are responsible for:
· human resource functions, including workforce planning
· regulatory and technical training and professional development
· governance oversight and coordination across the organisation
· managing productive working relationships with the Minister’s Office and other government agencies
· information technology services
· business improvement and change management
· portfolio management and service delivery transformation program
The Opportunity

The People and Capability Branch provides CASA’s human resources functions including delivering a broad cross-section of policies, programs and services to create, foster and grow a culture of high performance and integrity.
We support the development of organisational capability to enable CASA to effectively perform its functions as they relate to the Civil Aviation Act, 1988. We foster a strong learning culture within CASA by creating high quality learning that is engaging, relevant and accessible.
Your tasks will be of moderate complexity, and you will exercise reasonable autonomy undertaking a range of activities under limited direction, liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
As a member of a small collaborative People Policy & Performance team you will work to establish and maintain relationships at all levels of the organisation. You will provide support CASA’s managers by providing timely and accurate advice on the policy and application of CASA’s enterprise agreement and related policies and guidelines to workplace issues.
You will also assist in the research and drafting of procedures, instruments and advice based on CASA procedures to ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory and public sector requirements applicable to Commonwealth government agencies.
You will manage the People Policy and Performance inbox, the primary communication channel for the team, and provide administrative support, customer service and coordination of:
1. early intervention and rehabilitation activities
2. the Harassment Contact Officer network
3. assist with People Policy & Performance workforce reporting
4. administration support and advice on the CASA Performance management scheme
5. secretariat support of the CASA Workplace Relations Group including meetings, minutes, consultation mechanisms and written communications as required.
