Workshop Assistant And Labourer

Unidan Engineering is an established and rapidly growing business based in Yatala on the Gold Coast. For the last 12 years we have been the pioneers in the Unimog off-road expedition market in all aspects. Recreational; motorhomes, toy haulers & weekend fun trucks. Commercial; fleets, emergency services, soil-testing units and people movers and much, much more. 

We are driven by a passion for off-road living and the desire to get all our customers on the road in a vehicle that suits their needs. Our work culture aims to have everyone excited to come to work every day as no day is the same.

With our ever-increasing workload we are looking to expand our team by welcoming extra Labourers. We are currently seeking committed, eager, hard-working people. This role would suit someone looking to build a career in the manufacturing industry & interested in a long-term position with the vision to progress your role.

We are hiring multiple people for this position. 

Your new role
This role is quite varied, with duties to include, but not limited to:

• Assist Tradesmen
• Assist Admin staff 
• Workshop tasks which may include manual lifting &/or using a variety of power tools such as drills, grinders, saws, silicone/glue guns, pressure washers etc
• Load and deliver/pick up materials, parts, supplies etc 
• Vehicle cleaning and detailing 
• Cleaning of workshop, offices and staff facilities 

The knowledge, skills and abilities Unidan Engineering is looking for:

• Current manual driver's licence a must
• Forklift license (a bonus but not essential)
• Preferred experience using hand/power tools
• Mechanical interest and aptitude
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to effectively communicate with fellow employees, supervisors, Managers and Customers
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Willingness and interest to grow and learn various skills & follow directions from Directors and/or other staff.
• Hard-working, can-do attitude a must

The position is offered initially on a casual/trial basis working full-time hours, however we are looking for someone long-term & for a full time position.
