We are seeking a full-time Trade Qualified Fitter and Machinist to become a member of our Western Junction crew.
Daily activities will be a mix between the maintenance of equipment and the manufacture of smaller machined components for projects running through our workshops.
The position will be permanent, with a three-month probationary period. After the three-month probationary period, the rate of pay will be $ 38.50/hr plus overtime penalties for a suitably qualified tradesman with overtime being regular and encouraged.
The successful candidate will hold the following attributes/abilities:
- Certificate 3 qualification in Fitting and Machining
- Undertake maintenance activities on profile cutting machines, plate rollers, guillotines and shot blasters etc.
- Able to maintain and repair hydraulically powered workshop equipment
- Experience with manual lathes and milling machines
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings
- Maintain high work standards with minimal supervision
- Must reside in Australia and have the right to work in Australia
- Strong work ethic
