Workshop Controller

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Workshop Controller at our brand-new Auto Service Center in Rockingham! 

As the Workshop Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the workshop. Your primary focus will be on managing the workshop's workflow, coordinating with technicians, and ensuring the efficient and timely completion of vehicle repairs and maintenance.  

The successful candidate will commence the onboarding process in our neighbouring centers, partnering with our current staff to ensure they are set up for success! 

Key responsibilities include: 

• Coordinate and allocate tasks to a team of skilled technicians, ensuring the smooth flow of work and adherence to schedules. 

• Maintain high-quality service standards by conducting thorough quality checks on completed repairs and services before vehicles are returned to customers. 

• Provide technical guidance and assistance to technicians when challenging issues arise, leveraging your deep understanding of automotive systems and diagnostics. 

• Collaborate with the parts suppliers to ensure the availability of necessary components for repairs, minimizing downtime. 

• Monitor technician performance, productivity, and efficiency, offering feedback and implementing improvements as needed. 

Qualifications and Skills: 

• Proven experience in an automotive repair and maintenance environment. 

• Strong technical background and familiarity with a wide range of vehicle systems. 

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience is preferred. 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

• Proficiency in workshop management software and basic computer skills. 

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. 

• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
