Workshop Diesel Mechanic

Porter Plant, a market leader in equipment maintenance management and dry hiring of plant, equipment and light commercial vehicles, currently have a vacancy for a qualified workshop Diesel Mechanic.

About the Role

Based in our Cambrian Hill facility, you will apply your trade across a diverse range of assets, from heavy vehicles to earthmoving equipment ensuring that plant and equipment is safe, reliable and ready for our customers.

You will be responsible for:

• Routine servicing;
• Maintenance;
• Performing effective fault diagnosis on a variety of equipment;
• Overhauling of mechanical components.

You will need to have;

• Trade qualification with relevant experience;
• Ability to work unsupervised;
• Hydraulics experience essential;
• Have excellent organizational, communication and reporting skills;
• Have good computer skills for the completion of electronic work orders;
• Demonstrate a sound awareness of OH&S management principles.
