The Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art seeks a qualified and experienced Cabinet Maker to join its production team in a leading role.
The position will work with a comprehensive range of specialist workshop machinery to produce high quality cabinetry, joinery, artwork display and storage solutions under the supervision of the Workshop Manager.
The role will be required to work responsively & flexibly to the demands of the exhibition program adapting to a variety of tasks that may be specific to this trade area or more general in relation to the types of exhibitions the Gallery undertakes.
The role works together with and supervises other qualified Cabinet Makers & a range of fulltime and casual tradespeople & trade assistants, contractors, & staff from various disciplines. Work may be physical & requires a suitable level of fitness and mobility.
