Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced WorkshopSupervisor to join our dynamic management team. If you are passionate about leading a team to deliver high-quality products and services, and ensuring a safe and productive work environment, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate Workshop Resources: Ensure that all production requirements are met efficiently and cost-effectively
- Manage Production Schedules: Adapt and plan to meet changing customer deadlines
- Training and Development: Identify training needs, implement training programs, and mentor apprentices and semi-skilled staff
- WHS Compliance: Maintain and ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety standards, including equipment operation and safety inspections
- Performance Management: Provide constructive feedback to staff, manage performance issues, and liaise with HR on performance trends
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the Quality & Compliance Officer to uphold and continually improve the workshop’s Quality Assurance processes.
- Promote Safety and Performance: Foster a culture of health, safety, and high performance
- Ensure High Standards: Ensure all work meets the company’s quality standards and is completed within set timeframes
- Innovate and Communicate: Encourage technical innovation and maintain proactive, positive communication within the team
- Support Team: Provide necessary support to site personnel and maintain high-level communication
- Workshop Management:
- Allocate labour and manage workshop layout
- Address safety issues promptly
- Ensure adequate levels of consumables and procurement of necessary tools and equipment
- Monitor and manage team productivity and performance
- Conduct regular Tool Box Talks
- Engineering:
- Understand and clarify technical specifications
- Liaise between Engineering and Workshop, ensuring clear communication
- Keep Project Managers informed about job progress and manage costs and delivery schedules
- Capture price variations and clarify scope and technical issues.
- Quality Assurance:
- Enhance Quality Assurance systems and processes.
- Conduct quality assurance checks and mentor the workshop crew to maintain high standards.
