Workshop Supervisor

In this role, you'll:
be based in Grafton and supervise the teams in Ballina and Grafton workshops. As Workshop Supervisor, you will enjoy leading a team delivering a multi-disciplinary service capability that ensures the safe service and maintenance of TfNSW assets such as plant and trucks, vehicular ferries and lift span bridges etc. You will be responsible for the local management of workshop staff and ensuring all matters relating to Fleet's mechanical and fabrication services are achieved per time, quality and project scope requirements.
This permanent full-time role will also work to ensure the TfNSW fleet asset and the designated workshop areas are maintained per legislative requirements.
This role will see you leading an experienced, high performing and dedicated team of tradespersons and apprentices tasked with providing mechanical and fabrication support across TfNSW

About you
Your trade qualifications in a field related to earthmoving plant and equipment repairs and possession of a MVRIC licence as a Motor Mechanic is paramount. You will also have a key focus on safety as this is a high-risk environment. This role provides opportunity for career succession and opportunity to work a 9-day fortnight.
As an experienced leader, you're recognised as someone who is self-motivated and organised. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to maintain and build strong working relationships.
Please note that this role will occasionally require planned work outside of hours and travel up to 2 days.
