As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a dedicated Workshop Technician to join our team.
Position Overview: As a Workshop Technician specialising in Snorkel products, you will play a vital role in performing repairs, maintenance, and service work on a range of machinery. You will uphold our commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction, contributing to the success of our business.
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine repairs, maintenance, and service work on Snorkel products.
• Conduct inspections and fault-finding activities on machines to identify issues.
• Dismantle and reassemble machines to a high-quality standard.
• Conduct steam cleaning, basic welding, and spray painting as required.
• Complete programmed service work on machines and fit parts as needed.
• Seek support from Service Supervisor and Product Support when necessary.
• Ensure accurate completion of paperwork including part requisition and time sheets.
• Perform pre-delivery inspections of new machines when required.
• Apply quality control techniques to maintain high standards of workmanship.
• Suggest new methods for continuous improvement of procedures and standards.
• Adhere to safe working practices and cooperate with safety management.
• Report injuries, incidents, and hazards in accordance with company procedures.
• Promote and ensure safe work practices within the team.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Trade qualification in mechanical or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in repairing and maintaining machinery, preferably Snorkel products.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
• Familiarity with relevant tools, equipment, and techniques.
