Workshop / Production Supervisor
TRS Resourcing is sourcing and screening Trade Qualified and experienced Production Supervisors to join our client's team in Campbellfield. Our client is an industry leader in providing tailored modular solutions to predominately mining and emergency services industries.
We are seeking a motivated individual to oversee the steel workshop manufacturing operations. The Production/Workshop Supervisor, reporting to the Production Manager will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of the steel production process, ensuring that safety, quality, and efficiency goals are met. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail and a deep understanding of steel fabrication processes.
Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 + Super (depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidates must possess the following skills and experience:
- Develop, implement and control production schedules/plans to meet customer demand and maximise workshop efficiency.
- Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, and other departments to ensure timely completion of orders.
- Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure that products meet or exceed customer specifications.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Provide leadership and guidance to production staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork and collaboration.
- Set performance goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
- Oversee inventory levels and ensure adequate stock of raw materials, consumables, and finished goods to support production schedules.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- References from at least two past employers
- Already based in Melbourne, Victoria
- Appropriate working rights in Australia
- Welding/Boilermaker Trade qualification
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a steel fabrication or manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of steel fabrication processes, equipment, and industry best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
