About the role
We are currently seeking a motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our Workwear Sales team. As a vital member of our retail staff, you will play a key role in assisting customers, driving sales, preparing orders for decoration, and maintaining the overall presentation and functionality of our store.
The position is full time 5 1/2 days per week. Monday to Friday 8.45 to 5.30 and Saturday 8.45 to 12.15.
A typical routine of daily duties at Worklocker
- Greet customers warmly and ascertain their needs and preferences.
- Assist customers in finding the right workwear attire, including clothing, footwear, and accessories, based on their requirements and industry standards.
- Provide product knowledge and advice to customers regarding features, benefits, and care instructions.
- Manage incoming orders from corporate clients for workwear apparel and accessories.
- Coordinate closely with our production team to ensure timely fulfillment of orders while maintaining quality standards.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment, including restocking merchandise and arranging displays.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and contribute to a positive working environment.
- Stay updated on new arrivals, promotions, and industry trends to effectively promote products and maximize sales opportunities.
The applicant will be required to demonstrate sales skills such as up-sell and cross-sell strategies. They will be required to have the ability to independently solve problems that may occur at any given time. They need to exercise initiative, discretion and judgment in the performance of their duties and need to be responsible and accountable for their own work.
Skills and experience required
- Previous Retail Sales experience preferred, with a focus on customer service.
- Knowledge of workwear or apparel products is advantageous but not required; a willingness to learn and adapt is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
