Primary Objective
As a member of the Home and Yard Maintenance Team, Yard Maintenance Field Officers are responsible for:
• Providing information about program services and client eligibility.
• A range of Yard Maintenance services including mowing and gardening.
• A range of minor maintenance jobs including rubbish removal, outdoor house cleans, and driveway cleans.
• Providing appropriate information / referral to clients and senior program staff to meet client needs and to ensure the ongoing financial viability of the program
Qualifications and Experience
• Relevant horticulture qualifications and/or experience in a similar role.
• Current C class Driver’s license (QLD)

• Proficient use of professional mowing equipment including Zero Turn ride on mower.
• Precision and attention to detail.
• Professional communications skills with internal and external stakeholders
• Effective time management and task prioritisation skills
• Understanding of basic computing concepts.
Other Requirements
• Good physical fitness and the ability to maintain manual handling work.
• Basic skills in oral and written communication with clients and other members of the public.
• Knowledge of established work practices and procedures relevant to the workplace.
• Application of techniques relevant to the workplace.
• Developing knowledge of statutory requirements relevant to the workplace.
This position requires the completion of an Australian Federal Police check, an NDIS disability worker screening check, and attainment of a Blue Card for working with children, prior to commencement.
The successful candidate will also be required to demonstrate entitlement to work in Australia, and to disclose any pre-existing injury or disease which may be adversely affected by undertaking the inherent requirements of the position.
