The role
The Youth Activities Support Officer supports the Youth team through:
- supporting the delivery of inclusive activities and events for young people aged 12-25 years.
- assisting with the planning and delivery of the Mondo Lounge Youth Space Program, including the Mondo Lounge School Holiday Program.
- assisting with set up and end of activity duties, including moving furniture and equipment, clean up, food preparation and supervision of program participants as required.
- promoting activities on social media and Council’s youth website.
Our ideal candidate
To be successful in this role you will have:
- the ability to build positive relationships with young people.
- experience in facilitating groups, programs or activities.
- a Working with Children’s Check.
- sound understanding of Child Safe Standards.
- proficiency in using a range of social media platforms and website management.
- availability to work flexible hours including during school holidays.
- the ability to undertake the physical elements of the role
