Peninsula Leisure (PL) has an exciting opportunity for a IT Support Officer to join our Finance team on a permanent full time basis. Reporting to the General Manager Finance & IT, this role provides internal support across the business to ensure the smooth running and efficiencies of business systems, records, and administration. This includes maintenance of the Xplor Recreation electronics records management system to ensure accurate, efficient, secure and timely handling of electronic information and provision of direct IT support to staff and escalate to external IT provider as required.
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the effective operation of the SharePoint platform, ensuring efficient collaboration and document management across the organisation.
- Provide technical support to staff members, troubleshooting hardware and software issues promptly and effectively.
- Collaborate with external IT support provider to address any issues or concerns, striving for seamless IT operations.
- Assist in preparation of documentation of IT systems infrastructure, including network architecture, configurations, and protocols.
- Conduct mapping and analysis of the organisation's IT systems infrastructure to identify areas for optimisation and enhancement.
- Develop and deliver training to managers and staff to enhance their understanding of IT systems and procedures including functions, roles and responsibilities
- Development of IT department SOPs, employee onboarding, IT induction and offboarding programs.
- Serve as superuser for CRM software and Power BI

Key Selection Criteria
To thrive in this role, you will need:
- Proven 3 years’ experience in a similar IT support role,
- Proficiency in SharePoint administration, IT systems support, and cyber security best practices (desirable).
- Strong verbal and written communication, with the ability to effectively engage with staff at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage supplier relationships.
- Experience with data analysis tools such as Power BI (desirable).
- Ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work effectively under pressure.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Proven ability to identify and initiate tasks pro-actively
- Strong work ethic
