We have an exciting opportunity available for the full-time position of Youth Coordinator.
About the Role
The position of Youth Coordinator leads the development, delivery, and evaluation of our programs, aimed at supporting WYAC’s vision of a local community made up of healthy young people who feel empowered and capable of succeeding in their chosen endeavours and dreams.
You will promote and support positive relationships and connection for children and young people within their family, culture, and community and represent WYAC within the local community, developing stakeholder relationships.
You will also work directly with our youth to build their skills, improve their social experiences and making informed decisions on their behalf - collaborating with care teams to create effective treatment plans, individualised support plans and/ or referral to other agencies.

WYAC is committed to providing a supportive and collaborative workplace. The successful candidate will receive a base salary of $65,000 plus superannuation, 5 weeks annual leave, attractive remote area salary packaging options (up to $15,900 per annum), 10 days personal leave, excellent professional development opportunities, including travel.
The successful applicant will hold a qualification in Youth Work or Community work (Diploma or above is highly desirable) or related area. Previous experience in Youth Work is required, preferably developing and delivering youth programs with effective outcomes.
Passionate about improving the lives of young people, you must have demonstrated experience working with disengaged or at-risk Youth. Previous experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people and holding good understanding of the issues facing First Nations people is advantageous.
The successful candidate must be able to provide a National Police Clearance, Working with Children Check, WA Drivers license and evidence of COVID-19 vaccination prior to commencing role.
