Your part in our Wesbro team
We are currently seeking to appoint a Local Youth Service Manager to work as a part of our Wesbro Child and Family Team based in the Ipswich region on a full-time basis. In this position, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our residential care service for young people living in, out of home care. Supplementing this you will ensure our service in adhering to practice and therapeutic frameworks to ensure quality outcomes for the young people we support.
What makes a difference for us?
You will have demonstrated experience working with children and youth within a therapeutic care environment who have suffered abuse or neglect and are on statutory child protection or juvenile justice orders. Supplementing this you will have strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build effortless rapport with young people who may demonstrate dissociative behaviours due to experiencing trauma. In addition to the above, you will have a tertiary education in human and/or community services (or relevant field), a current blue & yellow card (or be willing to obtain), an open QLD driver’s license, a senior first aid certificate and be willing to undergo a personal history check under the provision of child protection act 1999 in relation to licensing of care services.
Please note that our service is operated 24/7 and will require you to be flexible to the requirements of the service within these hours.
