Carinity Education - Glendyne have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Youth Worker - Student Wellbeing to join the team.

Carinity Education – Glendyne is a co-educational, independent school, located in Nikenbah, which offers a second chance to young people in grades 6-12 who have struggled in mainstream schooling. For over twenty years we have witnessed our young people make a positive change in their lives and graduate with QCEs and vocational qualifications.
What do I need for this role?

• Certificate III (or higher) in either Youth Work, Education Support, Teacher Aide or relevant discipline or willingness to work towards and relevant work experience
• Experience in providing Youth Work, education, and support services to marginalised young people is advantageous
• Ability to relate to youth at risk and to assist with behaviour management, to build positive, professional relationships with young people.
• Knowledge of IT based school management systems (TASS or similar) preferred
• Demonstrated ability to manage student behaviour including the ability to provide sensitivity to cultural and social issues which may affect young people
