Do you want to feel a sense of belonging, build experience in rewarding work and have the chance to learn, earn an income and design a possible career path? A role in Community Care could be right for you!
We have two Community Care Traineeships available for compassionate people who want to help make a difference in the lives of the elderly and people with a disability. If you have a genuine interest in providing care and support in our community, this is a very special opportunity to explore that passion whilst building your fundamental skills, on a professional platform.
As a Community Care Trainee, you might work with people with a disability, the elderly and others who need one-on-one companionship and general support. Throughout this traineeship, you will gain skills, experience and a nationally recognised qualification by assisting with the provision of direct support services to people who are ageing and experience a large variety of day-to-day challenges. Services include community groups, individual support and support within specialised accommodation facilities.
This training contract will help you to complete a Certificate III in Individual Support, which you will work towards at the TAFE campus. It is anticipated that the first six months of training will be delivered through a combination of on-the-job experience and attendance at TAFE, for one to two days per week. The latter six months will be solely on-the-job.
A satisfactory outcome as a result of a National Criminal History Record Check and a NDIS Worker Screening clearance is a requirement for these positions.
