A03/1 Procurement Support Officer

Troocoo Government are currently searching for a Procurement Support Officer to join an established State Government client. This position is based at their Caboolture office and is looking for someone to join their procurement team initially until the 28/06/2024 (extension potential)! This opportunity sits at the A03.1 level and is paying $44.49 p/hour + super. 

The role

• Review data in Ellipse and create Purchase Orders.
• Issue works/services tenders (training provided, although previous experience preferred).
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislative and departmental requirements for procurement.
• Actively promote awareness of procurement as a key business function to all departmental staff.
• Provide a range of administrative support functions to members of the Procurement section.

What you will bring

• Previous experience in Procurement / Purchasing would highly regarded.
• Sound computer knowledge/skills, i.e. outlook, excel, word, etc and needs to be comfortable with various databases (the position will use several).
• Willing to work in a fast paced environment with KPI’s and mechanisms to measure and monitor performance.
• Demonstrate professionalism and be a positive contributor to a great team and culture.
• Demonstrate initiative and be a team player by appropriately handling enquiries to senior staff in their absence within expected timeframes.
