Our leading State Government Client located in Brisbane CBD are looking for a seasoned Project officer/Advisor to join their team on an initial 12 month full time contract. You will be part of the Passenger Rollingstock and Signalling Branch where you will be specifically assisting on the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP). This department are at the forefront of revolutionizing rail transport through innovation, integration, and accessibility in order to meet increasing demand across South East Queensland.
The program aims to construct 65 state-of-the-art, six-car passenger trains at a purpose-built facility as well as establishing a cutting-edge rail facility for stabling and maintenance operations. Construction is well underway, with Downer leading the charge as their head contractor.
Your Opportunity as a Project Advisor:
As a Project Advisor within the QTMP, you'll play a pivotal role in driving success of this program and ensuring seamless outcomes. Your expertise in organisation, communication, and document management will be instrumental in streamlining project workflows and efficient project delivery.
Your Responsibilities
- Involve utilising a range of software programs, information management systems and databases to provide high level support tailored to the needs of the QTMP project management team.
- Provide high-level administrative support, from coordinating team meetings to preparing reports.
- Ensure meticulous documentation tracking and management, collaborating closely with our document control team.
- Keep projects on track by monitoring and following up on actions, ensuring timely delivery of outputs.
- Maintain compliance with legislation, policies, and procedures to uphold operational standards and governance obligations.
- Assist with formal interface document tracking such as:
- Maintaining Interface Action Registers
- Monitor, support and assure Interface Documents (Interface Control Forms, Interface Control Documents)
Mandatory Requirements
- Hold a current Class C driver's license.
Key selection Requirements
- Previous Project experience working on infrastructure projects.
- A formal qualification in Project Management or related field is highly valued.
- Ability to foster effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
