THE POSITION
The Healthy AgeingProject Officer delivers operational support to Healthy Ageing programs across the Healthy Ageing and end of life care portfolio.
The Project Officer supports subject matter experts to design, deliver and evaluate Healthy Ageing strategies, programs and initiatives.
The Healthy AgeingProject Officer is passionate about improving health outcomes for Country to Coast’s (CCQ) communities and driving person centred care through health system reform, integration and commissioning.
PERM PART TIME POSITION (0.6FTE - 3 days per week).
Flexible Work From Home options (2 days in office / 1 day WFH)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist subject matter leads to develop, implement and evaluate Healthy Ageing commissioned services, programs and initiatives.
• Prepare and review written documentation ensuring it is clear, succinct and tailored for the intended audience, e.g. reports, newsletter articles, briefs and project and procurement plans
• Undertake desktop research, summarising information with a high degree of accuracy and confirming using a variety of sources
• Assist in the organisation of region-wide meetings and forums with community members and health and social services
• Collate and analyse data
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders in an engaging and professional manner
• Assist in the collation and analysis of reports, briefs and other organisational information
• Ensure the confidentiality and security of all information and data
• Work collaboratively with other CCQ teams to undertake all activities
• Complete other reasonable duties as required
ESSENTIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
• Tertiary qualifications, or a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience, in a related field
• Manages self - demonstrates a high level of personal motivation, reflection and commitment to continuous self-improvement.
• Delivers results - experience in designing, implementing and evaluating projects
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail - excellent written communication skills including the ability to write and review documents to a high standard
• Stakeholder engagement - demonstrated verbal and interpersonal communication skills; ability to establish rapport with a wide range of stakeholders and to speak clearly and confidently in meetings and forums
• Works collaboratively - experience working in a team and understanding of own strengths and weaknesses working in a team
• Solves problems - the ability to diagnose the cause of an issue/problem and then implement an appropriate solution
• Understands the health system – strong understanding of the primary health care and aged care system service and funding landscape
• Commitment to working with and engaging with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people, organisations and communities in a culturally safe and respectful manner
• Knowledge of and commitment to Work Health and Safety, Equal Employment Opportunity and Continuous Improvement principles
