Aboriginal Support Worker - Nannup Therapeutic Centre (TC)
The Role:
The Aboriginal Support Worker will provide yarning, mentoring, interactive therapeutic activities, education, mediation, and support to residents in a residential setting. They will also develop relationships with Aboriginal communities in the Great Southern and South-West regions. The position will promote Cyrenian services and develop Elder groups who can advise and support the programs offered by Cyrenian House.

Cyrenian House provides a wide range of high-quality treatment services that make a positive and meaningful difference in the lives of people affected by alcohol and other drugs.
The position is part-time 38 hours per fortnight, based at our Nannup site. Level 4 - Level 5, salary $87,064 - $102,823 (depending on experience)
Required Criteria:
- Hold a Certificate III in Community Services and AOD and/or experience in working with Aboriginal people in an AOD service (minimum).
- Possess a sound knowledge of alcohol and other drug issues impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
- Take an active role in Continuous Quality Improvement.
- Demonstrated and well-developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication.
- Current National Police Clearance, Working with Children Check, and First Aid Certificate.
- Current Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle.
