About us
Legal Aid NSW helps people with their legal problems. We can help people with most areas of criminal law, family law and every day civil law legal issues. We give legal advice, help at court and do family dispute resolution. We can do this over the telephone or at one of our 27 offices.
About the Role
Lead and manage the day-to-day activities of the Regional Office to ensure the efficient and effective use of resources and delivery of high-quality services that meet the needs of clients and the community. Develop key relationships with internal and external stakeholders including the private profession, legal assistance providers and the courts. Conduct a legal practice as other priorities permit.
About you
The right person for this role will be an experienced solicitor who lead and supervise the solicitors and administrative team within the office, whilst maintaining a legal practice.
The successful applicants will be committed to delivering excellent service for clients and be able to demonstrate an extensive knowledge of either criminal, family or civil law in NSW. Experience as a criminal, civil or family solicitor is required and management experience is preferred.

The essential requirements for this role
You must:
be admitted or be eligible for admission as a legal practitioner in NSW
be able to provide a current NSW Practising Certificate before you start work with us
be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before you start work with us
be willing to do a Criminal Record Check
be willing to do a working with Children Check
hold Australian or NZ citizenship, Australian Permanent Residency (for ongoing vacancies) or a valid visa to work in Australia (for temporary vacancies)
