About the role:
We are seeking a visionary and results-driven individual to spearhead the establishment of our new Melbourne office as an Account Director. Reporting to the Group Sales Manager, the candidate will forge strong relationships with agencies, trading desks, and data partners to establish the Vistar Media brand. The ideal candidate possesses strategic thinking skills, works independently, and collaborates effectively as a team player, contributing to the vibrant Vistar Media culture internally and externally.
The role entails cultivating relationships and driving revenue from both agency planning and investments teams, as well as programmatic teams. This position is entrepreneurial in nature, requiring the candidate to be adaptable and ready for hands-on involvement in various aspects of team growth. While the journey involves hard work, it promises a fun and rewarding experience, breaking free from the corporate red tape.
What you'll do:
Help manage existing agency partnerships, whilst also seeking to expand our client portfolio through your existing local agency and brand relationships
Partner and work closely with key clients from both a strategic and day-to-day perspective, being the main point of contact for all aspects of the client relationship from pre to post-sale
Maintain media kits, presentations, and general marketing material
Provide input on product based on client feedback that will help drive revenue
Develop prospect hit lists, and leverage existing sales relationships to maximise overall long-term value of client relationships
Raise demand-side awareness of Vistar Media as the first and only exchange for DOOH
Leverage MSA and trading desk relationships at agency holding companies to grow clientele and build larger partnerships
Work closely with Account Management to respond to RFPs from existing and potential clients, manage key clients and partners and ensure proper delivery of campaigns
Work closely with the Analytics team to understand client's success metrics and put together comprehensive measurement strategies that resonate with the distinct KPIs of the client/vertical
Think outside the box / be highly creative
Be willing to learn new technologies
What we're looking for:
6+ year's experience working in a sales capacity for a media, online or technology firm
In-depth understanding of the digital out-of-home advertising landscape, market trends, and emerging technologies.
A strong sales background with a history of achieving and exceeding revenue targets, coupled with excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
Adept at building and leveraging a professional network, both internally and externally, to capitalise on business opportunities.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey our value proposition and build relationships with clients, partners, and the team.
A self-starter with a proactive mindset, ready to take the initiative and contribute to the growth and success of our Melbourne office.
