Job description

For well over a decade, oobe has been connecting people and their devices with the apps and data they need to be productive from wherever, whenever. Today, with an ever-increasing emphasis on solutions for cloud, data and security, we're helping our customers navigate the complexity of new technologies through a combination of disruption and innovation. It seems to be working, because we're growing rapidly, and are now looking for another motivated individual to work with our successful sales team in Canberra. This role will be responsible for identifying and qualifying sales and development opportunities as well as managing client success for prospective and existing clients.
With a focus on cloud, cyber security and end user computing, we are looking for someone with a high-level working knowledge of the following technologies, and have either previously held a technical or leadership role in one of the following fields:

  • Modern and secure workspace delivery
  • Microsoft technologies including Azure, M365 and System Center
  • Citrix end user and networking technologies
  • Enterprise cloud, infrastructure and storage solutions
  • Windows SOEs, application packaging/delivery and modernisation
  • Amazon Web Services
  • Cyber security solutions
The role will work closely with the local oobe Canberra sales team on federal and state government accounts. This role will also work closely with our vendor (e.g. Microsoft. Citrix, Tenable) and partner community to develop and deliver quality solutions to new and existing customers. The duties of this role include, but not limited to, the following:
  • Business development - craft proposals and engage with clients from draft statement of work through to signed contract
  • Account management - effective communication with clients to ensure expectations are met or exceeded
  • Technical presales - translate customer requirements into solutions and architecture
  • Leadership - work with the wider oobe team to enhance internal capability and standards
  • Project management - on occasion, assist with the delivery of complex projects
  • Quality assurance - ensuring that solutions are designed and implemented according to an agreed scope and contract
  • Other business development activities such as growing our existing customer relationships
