The Opportunity
With innovate new products recently launched, there has never been a more exciting time to join Cochlear. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of a newly formed team who are focused on driving growth in our bone conduction hearing business and pave the way for new marketing-leading technology within the hearing sector.
In this newly created position, we are seeking a sales professional to join our team and contribute to our growth. The Account Manager is responsible for supporting business growth and achievement of target sales by providing industry leading surgical and clinical support.
The position requires sales and marketing expertise, comfort with attending and addressing surgical needs, and the continuous development and application of business acumen.
Key areas of Accountability include:
Supporting the achievement of Sales Targets
- Implement business and marketing plans to achieve sales targets, targeted unit quota, and revenue objectives.
- Demonstrate exceptional sales and business acumen to identify market opportunities, competitive positioning, research customer needs, and generates sales.
- Make presentations regarding products, promotional/public relations, and account plans.
- Establish strong relationships with all key people in the assigned accounts (e.g. surgeons, audiologists, OR department, purchasing department).
Internal and External Customer Training
- Identify training needs of internal and external stakeholders, and design/customise training programs to fulfil customer needs.
Clinical Support
- Responsible for full surgical and clinical support to defined surgical/hearing centres and additional centres when required
- Provide surgical support in the operating theatre for implant procedures, especially during the start-up phase for new surgeons, staff or hospitals and on-going basis support, as necessary
- Ensure theatre staff are trained to support bone conduction implant surgeries, including the use of the surgical equipment and instruments

About You.
To add value in this role, you will be able to have:
Essential
- Bachelor's degree in business, Healthcare, or relevant field
- Demonstrated sales management experience in healthcare or relevant field
- Previous experience working within a hospital environment providing surgical support.
- Excellent sales and influencing skills
- Outstanding communication skills - oral, written and presentation
- Good understanding of institutional and B2B sales processes along with sound commercial acumen
- Proven track record of building and nurturing stakeholder relationships - internal and external
- Experience in creating successful business plans and sales plan objectives
- Ability to travel interstate (up to 50% of the time)
