Join our Commodities and Global Markets (CGM) Account Management team as an Operations Analyst in Sydney, supporting CGM’s Financial Markets lending businesses. In this support role, you will be working with global teams in Sydney, New York, and London. You will work alongside Macquarie’s Structuring, Origination and Legal teams to support day to day lending activities of Financial Markets.

What role will you play?
You will enjoy a fast-paced business and adapt easily to change and other market-related drivers. Your can-do attitude, coupled with excellent problem solving and communication skills will be valuable to the team.
In this role you will, perform lending lifecycle management in LoanIQ including but not limited to loan static maintenance, payment processing, client reporting and ongoing loan processing of interest, principal and fee payments. You will also be analysing and interpreting credit agreements, client reporting, to source specific data points for covenant monitoring. You will be communicating with external clients about operations matters as well as liaising with Financial Markets originators, structuring and sales staff to source client reporting. You will be solving and responding to complex queries in a timely manner as well as identifying gaps in controls and opportunities to improve workflow and the risk framework.
What you offer
- At least one year of experience within the financial services industry in a similar operational role in a fast-paced working environment
- LoanIQ experience or other loan processing system such as Wall Street Office or ACBS is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or other quantitative discipline
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to manage and prioritise multiple transactions simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal, stakeholder and client management communication skills with strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong risk management approach, with a continuous improvement mindset
