About the opportunity:
Exciting opportunities wait for a Regional Account Manager to oversee the Gladstone to Airlie Beach region of Central QLD. As significant market growth opportunities have emerged across resourcing and agriculture projects, this position has been reinstated, requiring a full-time approach. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be at the forefront of driving growth in this dynamic market. Your role will involve managing and nurturing existing client relationships while actively seeking out new opportunities to expand the company's presence across the region. This customer-facing position demands proactive engagement on the road at least 4 days per week and requires strategic thinking and problem solving to capitalize on the emerging market trends.
About You:
You are a forward-thinking professional with diverse sales and account management experience and have proven success in an outward facing “hunting” sales role. You may come from an industrial background such as building, construction, civil, infrastructure or relevant “product out” business. You can demonstrate an understanding of sales cycles, managing an order book to fill any gaps, along with knowledge of pricing, margins, and sales dynamics. Possessing innate networking skills, you excel at cultivating valuable professional relationships. You exhibit a personable charisma that helps you build quick rapport, combined with a client centric focus to nurture and grow existing client accounts. You reside in or between Mackay and Gladstone and are able to commute across the Central QLD region weekly. Additionally, you possess an unrestricted driver's license and have access to your own vehicle.
