YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for managing a portfolio of assigned customers, improving and developing existing customer relationships as well as identifying and actively seeking new product and sales growth opportunities
- Proactively manage and grow a portfolio of customers (existing and new), develop existing and new products and create market opportunities and new sales leads via various digital channels (frequency directed by Manager)
- Increase GP and product portfolio by initiating opportunities to drive cross-selling / range-sell / value-based pricing
- Identify high potential accounts and determine strategies for converting prospects
- Following sales protocols and procedures, generate new leads and improve/increase conversion rates and sales interactions
- Reactivate lost / idle customers
- Raise customer awareness by assisting in determining the right products for the customer's needs and raising customer awareness of product options / opportunities
- Prepare accurate quotes and liaise with customers to report status
- Arrange orders ensuring documentation is accurate and completed in a timely and professional manner and documented in CRM (including the opportunity pipeline)
- Co-ordinate and place purchase orders with selected suppliers based on customer requirements
- Prepare CRM reports relating to customers in a format / timing specified by Manager
- Create, monitor, and update opportunities and potentials in CRM
- Undertake forecasting and prepare budgets by product and customer
- Review reports and action as required to ensure customers receive the correct quantity of product, at the right time and in the right location to meet budgeted, contracted, and forecast requirements
- Report on any information relevant to the liquidity of a customer to identify and limit any possible exposure to Brenntag of any debts
- Seek prompt payment of debtors and address problem accounts when necessary
YOUR PROFILE
- Tertiary qualified in an industry related discipline (science/chemistry)
- Recent graduate looking to develop commercial/ sales skills in a science-based role
- Recent experience in technical sales environment with demonstrated technical ability desirable but not essential
- Experience in distribution, chemical or other similar industry desirable but not essential
